What is GRS?
GRS is a kind of certificate, the full name is Global Recycled Standard, which is an international, voluntary, and comprehensive standard for recycled materials products. GRS certification was originally developed by the Dutch certification agency, and now the copyright owner is TE from the American Textile Exchange
Which products are suitable for GRS certification
Products containing more than 20% recycled materials can apply for GRS certification, and finished products containing 50% recycled materials can use GRS labels. Common GRS certified products include fabrics, yarns, accessories, clothing, leather, shoe materials, toys, plastic products, metal products, packaging, electronic products, etc
GRS in plastic packaging
Usually clients will require 20%~100% recycled material in the bags. The bag's color usually clients will choose white or clear. Especially clear bags are used in garment industry. Then you will see there are many "small dots on the bags", that is recycled material. Because recycled materials contain many impurities that cannot be melted during the production of blowing film, countless small crystal dots are formed.
